Most small business owners we talk to have never hired a marketing agency before, and that first conversation carries more weight than it should. You're not signing anything. You're not sitting through a pitch deck. In about thirty minutes, we're just finding out whether we actually understand your business, and whether you like talking to us enough to keep going.
We start with your business, not ours. Where are your customers actually coming from right now? What's working? What's a waste of your time every week? Most owners have never been asked these questions out loud, and just talking through them tends to clarify a lot before we've made a single recommendation.
What We Actually Ask You
- What's bringing in customers today — referrals, Google, Facebook, or a truck with your number on the door?
- What's the one thing about your current website or social presence that frustrates you most?
- Who's your ideal customer, and where do they actually spend time online?
- What's your realistic budget range, and what timeline are you working with?
There's no wrong answer to any of these. "I don't really know" is one of the most useful things you can tell us — it tells us exactly where to start.
"We'd rather tell you we're not the right fit than sell you something you don't need."
That's not a slogan — it's practical. We've turned down projects that were better suited to a national e-commerce platform, or a business that just needed its Google Business Profile cleaned up, not a full rebuild. Flat, transparent pricing only works if we're honest about what a project actually needs.
What Happens After
If it looks like a fit, we move into Strategy Build — the second step of our process — where we put together a specific plan for your business: which services make sense, what it costs, and what results should look like in the first 60 days. No bundled packages you don't need, no surprise line items later.
If it's not a fit, we'll tell you that too, and point you toward whatever actually solves the problem, even if that's not us. Either way, you leave the call with a clearer picture of your options than you had going in.
