  • Your busiest sales days are limited by store hours, not foot traffic
  • You sell something that doesn't require trying on, measuring, or seeing in person

If two or more of these are true, an online store usually pays for itself within a season.

A website that just displays your products isn't an online store. It's a brochure with a shopping cart bolted on.

When It's Not

A few situations where we'd actually tell you to hold off: your product is highly customized per order and a standard store front-end can't handle that without real backend work, your margins are too thin to absorb a payment processor's cut on top of shipping, or your real bottleneck is foot traffic and visibility rather than a missing storefront — in which case the fix is Local SEO or Social Media Management, not an online store nobody finds.
